My name is Erin Beltavski and I am a student at Ursuline College working towards my Masters degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. I have worked with a wide variety of populations during my clinical and internships including children in a Montessori school, adults with mood disorders, older adults at an assisted living facility and forensic and civil patients at a mental health facility. My area of interest is in working with adults with mental illness. I have enjoyed engaging in counseling and art therapy with this population.
I also continue to create art in my studio at home. I like working with various art media from painting and drawing to collage and ceramics. I find it helpful to express my emotions through the art making process and continue to grow and learn more about myself in order to help others. I also enjoy spending time outside and feel a strong connection with nature. Combining art and nature provides me with a new perspective in my creative process.
